Innovative Gold/Cobalt Ferrite Nanocomposite: Physicochemical and Cytotoxicity Properties

The combination of plasmonic material and magnetic metal oxide nanoparticles is widely used in multifunctional nanosystems. Here we propose a method for the fabrication gold/cobalt ferrite nanocomposite biomedical applications. composite includes gold cores ~10 nm diameter coated with arginine, which are surrounded by small cobalt diameters ~5 covered dihydrocaffeic acid. structure elemental composition, morphology dimensions, optical properties, biocompatibility new were studied. properties mostly determined superparamagnetic state nanoparticles, influenced localized plasmon resonance nanoparticles. cytotoxicity was tested using T-lymphoblastic leukemia peripheral blood mononuclear cells. Studied has selective citotoxic effect on cancerous cells while it no cytotoxic healtly results suggest that this can be explored future combined photothermal treatment theranostic.
